The Storm

Thermos:
Hrm….  With Ingus having laid down two acoustic guitars and an electric (through Jim’s modeler, again), surprisingly little stereo separation exists.  We had the tracks available to include the rain recording (the second acoustic track doesn’t appear to be adding much, since it’s almost directly in line with the other in the stereo spectrum).  And Louis must have been tired of recording by this point, since we barrel through this tune.

But I do have to say, my Jackson acoustic (RIP, c. 2002) sounds really good here.

“The Storm” originally closed State of Bliss, but we have two more recordings from that time period that we now include with it (kind of a 15th anniversary package deal), so stick around for those.  After that, we’ll address the piles of unreleased songs from the archives.

Louis:

I’m pretty sure I was playing a bass drum on this track, though it is nowhere to be found here.  I do, however, think this is the best sounding track on S.O.B.

Ingus:
I brought the cds with the rain effects on em.  Even buried in the mix, it would have been cool.  Why is this track almost frigging mono?  Where IS Louis’ kick drum? Bah!  Let’s get to the unreleased goodies.
