Strange that the first 10 seconds of this song are quite possibly the cleanest and most crisp of the entire SoB sessions.  Sad, too.

Those 10 seconds resulted from yet another happy accident: for whatever reason, Jim had the guitar and drum channels muted, and we all got googly-eyed about the resulting sound. We had Jim wipe the drum intro, Ingus added the acoustic guitar, and away we went.  We adopted this basic arrangement for live performances immediately after this recording, and only recently did we return to the original beginning (which I like better).
