Bluph

Ingus:
This is a true story.  I shall elaborate.

Poly-Sci 110 at UM-Flint.  I was fast asleep, and somehow the professor’s words dream-morphed into a horse.  Not just any horse, mind you, it was a very specific horse.

Folks of my generation will remember an old PSA that ran during saturday morning cartoons where a yellow guy with a cowboy hat and a horse had a “hankerin for a hunk of cheese“.  The cowboy’s horse, who I believe appears in less than a second of the PSA, was without a doubt the one in my dream.  I have no idea why, but it was certainly him.   Walking down the road.  Singing “In The Still Of The Night”.  The old soul song.  Not Whitesnake.  Sha doop shoo be doo.

The horse, indeed, tripped on a rock, and looked at me all embarassed when he fell to the ground.  This caused me to wake up to find that I had adhered my face to my notebook with a combination of chewing gum and drool.

I wrote this song immediately on said notebook.  To my knowledge, the professor was never aware I had fallen asleep.  I got a B.

Bluph was the name of the horse in my dream.  I don’t know how I knew this, as he never said anything but “sha-doop shoo be do”

Thermos:
I never understood the hate that one girl had for this song.

Louis:
At least she was never childish about it.

Ingus:
She certainly never covered her ears with her hands and ran out of Churchill’s like the place was on fire.
