Ingus – And back into demo territory! I have, despite having written it, absolutely no idea what it’s about. None. I believe it was a companion piece to Bluph, but I don’t remember why or how the two are connected, except that I’m pretty sure the words to both were written during a particularly boring lecture in a particularly boring poli-sci class at UM-Flint.
But I could be wrong.
I can tell you that Jay Brooks plays bass on this demo. He’s shown in the picture to the right. I’m the attractive fellow drinking the big gulp. He’s to my right. Like I said, we had some pretty wild hair in this period.
Louis – This is the only version (that I know of ) with the ”some kids are outside playing kick-the-can” line. The other versions have the line “Now, Crystal Pepsi comes in a can”, though I would’ve sworn that the Pepsi line was in the original lyrics, but that shows you what I know. It’s an odd bass line on the chorus, I’m surprised we let that through. Maybe we were worried that we’d drive another bass player away.

Another pic from Pete & Aaron’s basement. You can tell from the crack sealer lines running down from both bottom corners of the window. Also, that’s clearly Pete kneeling behind the bass drum, probably in his Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt.
Well… They ARE his drums…
